About me

To begin, I am a professional Opera Singer that continues to pursue a career in singing. I have sung on many of the world’s greatest operatic and symphonic stages.

I have a Bachelor’s of Music, a Master’s of Music and I initiated my Doctorate of Music at the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio and studied with the late, great baritone, Andrew White.

Right out of college I was whisked away to become an apprentice with San Francisco Opera and the rest is history. I have enjoyed a great collaboration with our own Cincinnati Symphony, May festival, and Opera Company as soloist for many years in addition to my International accomplishments.

I owe a great deal of my success to Maestros James Conlon and Jesus Lopez-With Placido DomingoCobos who gave me my start when I was an undergrad in college. I also owe a great deal of gratitude to the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nippert whose generosity helped to jumpstart my career.

During the past fifteen years I was privileged to have sung in prestigious houses, for Kings, Queens, Duchesses and members of our own Supreme Court as well as other notable dignitaries.

I have been influenced by some of the greatest operatic voices in the business. They include Regine Crespin, Hans Hotter, Elizabeth Soederstroem, Christa Ludwig, Placido Domingo, Andrew White and Evelyn Reynolds. My philosophy about singing is an amalgamation of all the terrific ideas and tools I have gleaned from them over the years. I am fortunate enough to have dipped a toe in the end of the golden era of singing and my wish is to continue to uphold the excellence in singing and performing that I have learned from the above Masters.

I grew up in Northern Kentucky and enjoyed a rich musical life in my community, churches, and of course, school. Before attending college, I appeared in numerous musical theater productions and my fondness for that genre continues. I continue to live in Northern Kentucky where I share my home with my terrific husband and my adorable Maltese (who is hypo-allergenic :-) .

I enjoy gardening, reading, cooking, spending time with my friends and of course traveling to new and exotic places.
